Hey up, sorry its been so long (it really has been ages this time I know), but nonetheless lets crack on with today’s digest.
First up Get Sacked have the ninth episode of their Podcast, which looks at what improvements FM2009 should have in regards tactics and training as well as lots of other tactical goodness from the Podcast team.
Sticking to the subject of tactics FM Britain have a new article up which looks at Millie’s recent Football Manager realisations in regards the little things, such as team gelling, player scouting, coping with injuries and many of the other little factors which make such a big impact on the success of a team in Football Manager.
Life in FM has two new updates which both continue the authors AI Experimental which pits some of the worlds top managers with some of the worlds toughest international jobs in the 2008 European Championships.
These two updates focus on the final three games of the tournament, who will go all the way? Who will prove themselves as the ultimate manager within this little experiment? Find out by visiting Life in FM.

Throw In have three new updates for us for the first time in months. The first is a mini rant (although apparently it’s not a rant) briefly looking at what exactly people actually expect from Football Manager? Admittedly it could have gone into a bit more depth and perhaps offered some more insight into the downfalls of certain approaches to Football Manager, but nonetheless its thought provoking enough to generate at least a little response so why not head over there and leave your own comments on the matter?
The second is a tad less useful and just as ‘brief’. Without trying to sound overly critical, its pretty pointless in all respects. It doesn’t really offer anything to the reader and just seems to end rather abruptly, even if the those last two lines had offered some sort of conclusion it would have probably turned out okay, but as it is, it just seems to mumble on a bit about superstitions without actually being informative or entertaining and at the end of the day, its got to be one of those two in order to be any good, surely?
Again, the third article is a little disappointing. Its probably the most insightful of all three, but just seems to end abruptly yet again without any real arguments or conclusion put across.
The article itself focuses on how a side in the authors game, Man City, have become a dumping ground for some of his old players, it seems every time he wants to sell someone, they end up going to Man City. What troubles him is the fact that Man City are now sitting top of the league, with HIS REJECTS! It certainly does seem interesting and could do with some more investigation, but for now, the best you’re going to get out of this article is to leave a few comments of your own and see if you can’t get a good discussion going on the subject with a few like minded Football Manager Fans.
Finally The True Football Manager Blog has a couple new updates for us. The first is a continuation of his Southampton Story in which his continues to press up the Premier Division with Southampton in what is now his second season in the top flight.
The second update is a quick look at some of the top wonderkids and hot young prospects who play in Left Midfield in Football Manager 2008.
