Average Rating: 6/10 Hits: 8759 Submitted: Nov 6, 2007
Here you can find a test of a 4-1-3-2 tactic, made by 'Platty'. The tactic is based around playing attractive, or 'shexy', football with skillful players.
Check out this site to find out exactly how the tactic faired when tested in FM2008.
Well in the first Tactic Testers review, I'm going to be reviewing a tactic made by our very own Platty - the 4132(v1) tactic, this tactic is a 'shexy football' tactic (as named by its creator)

Preseason Round-Up
For the Preseason testing four games were played against Hearts, Rochdale, Oldham and Porto.
Game 1 - Versus Rochdale 1 - 2
The game against 'Dale was tough for City as the tactic required an attacking side with lots of pace, and obviously at the start of preseason, most players weren't playing at their best.
Despite this City created a few chances and once they found their feet they started to threaten more. But despite these chances the deadlock was only broken in the 81st minute by young hotshot Michael Johnson. Unfortunately for City it was not to be the only goal of the game, as 'Dale struck back against the poor City defense, and scored twice in three minutes, to pull it back and secure a victory.
Summary - A lethargic City side struggled to get a foothold, with the defence struggling and the attack mostly failing to finish their chances. Which resulted in a victorious Rochdale side.
Game 2 - Versus Hearts 2 - 1
The City side seemed to be more prepared for this game with the players looking fitter and a bit quicker on the ball, and it showed as Rolando Bianchi broke the deadlock for City after just 16 minutes, it was obvious how much good the week's training had been for the team.
The one part of the team still going slowly was the defense, it was moving sluggishly and not engaging the Hearts players as well as they should of been, and it showed when ex-Man Utd man Michael Stewart raced past the sluggish defence and fired home.
Luckily for City, the attack was functioning well with the tactic and Bianchi scored again.
Summary - City win due to a sharp attack despite the efforts of the City defence.
