If you read my last review on Carl Finnigan you will notice that i am keeping up the theme of Strikers playing in Scotland. The reason for me keeping up this theme is I know a lot about Scottish football from playing many games with Scottish teams on Football Manager and also being a frequent visitor to SPL games in real life. Now as you know I don't like sticking to any template with my reviews as I prefer to write it with a much less hands on approach which will hopefully make it easier for the reader. On with the review, Ross McCormack is a regular player for the Scotland youth squad and without a shadow of a doubt on your games in 2010 Ross will be playing for the top Scotland squad and likely getting regular starts. Ross can either play as an Attacking Left sided player or as a Striker and I strongly recommend and urge you to play him upfront however he can put in a steady shift out on the left but to get the best out of him play him upfront. At only 5ft9 Ross is obviously not the biggest player in the world but this does not put him off, I recommend putting him with a taller player or a stronger player as he benefits from a larger presence beside him. Ross is Motherwell's best Striker however there is no getting away from the fact he still has a lot to learn and with the right training he could well become better than predicted.
Playing as teams in the English Premiership sometimes you come to Scotland to look for talent as you know you can get it cheaper in Scotland than you can down in England, Ross is an example of this. If Ross was English and played with Everton no way would he be worth £1.2million however you should be able to purchase him for anything between £1.5 and £1.7million. A snip if you ask me and he is only going to get better. A great asset to Ross' game is his set-piece ability, Ross is 17 for Penalty taking and 16 for Free-Kick taking. This brings a great bonus to your squad and you would back Ross to score a penalty if he was given one. Another key attribute in Ross is his First Touch, 16. So many times on the game I see players get the ball and with the first touch lose the ball, with Ross this is not common. He can get a ball played to him get it under control and then either go for goal or keep the ball going with a pass, which brings me onto another attribute of Ross' Finishing. The stat is set at 15, you may not think this is great but for a 21 year old this is not too bad and remember he is always improving however inside the box Ross does his damage and can be tagged as lethal I suppose.

To round up I would back Ross in his first season to score between 20-25 goals and also chip in with a fair amount of assists. The ideal team for Ross for me would be Hibernian however if you are Hibernian you would have to splash out most of your budget on him but I reckon he is worth it. I think he would suit Hibernian due to there attacking play and he would settle with the other players I feel. If you sign him for an English club he should do well however there is always that element of not settling but don't let that put you off, Ross is an obvious talent as you can see from the screenshot and I hope you consider signing him on your next game.
