overview
The home ground for this club is just temporary. It usually plays at Surrey Docks Stadium, Rotherhithe, with a Capacity of 8000. As you would expect at this level, the team is filled with young players, just starting their careers, mixed with some old heads.
expectations
The media predicts an 18th place at the end of the season. The expectations of the board and the supporters is to establish the team in the league with in a two year plan. This doesn't place a great deal of pressure on you as the manager, unless you start off very poorly. With some good loans and some Free Transfers, you can easily accomplish what the board wants.
goalkeepers
You start off with two goalkeepers in your squad. Your best goalkeeper is 21yo Simon Overland, who has some solid stats for this level. His Eccentricity(15) could be better, but his Jumping(14), Balance(11) and Aerial Ability(13) make up for it. The other goalkeeper in the squad is 18yo Chris Lewington. His Reflexes(12) are better, but fails dismally in Punching(3), Throwing(4) and Jumping(8). He is a decent backup for this level.
Best Goalkeeper: Simon Overland
defenders
You have 7 players that can play as defenders in the squad, unfortunately one of them will be playing in the midfield instead. The best DR you have is 22yo Lewis Tozer. His backup will be 22yo Simon Jackson. The only real difference between the two, is Lewis Tozer's Tackling(12) ability. The DL is 20yo Frenchman Nic Plumain. He has some good stats for this level, like his Tackling(13) and Long Throws(11). His backup is also 22yo Simon Jackson. If you were to buy a player this is the position you would buy for. Your best DC is 22yo Gavin Dayes, who is a well rounded player, that will improve even further with training. Your other DC will be 24yo Frenchman Romuald Bouadji. He has some good stats, but is let down by his Tackling(8). The bench player to backup the DC's will be 16yo Youth Contracted Tom Maxwell, who with the right training, should come on well.
Best Defender: Lewis Tozer
midfielders
In the MR slot, the best player is 20yo Luke Hickie. He has really good stats, especially his Long Throws(17). His backup will be 21yo Kenny Beaney. He needs some work, but should be coming on strong come the end of the first season. In the ML position, your best player is 23yo AM R/ST Gavin Tomlin. He isn't going to set the world on fire, but will give a steady performance. The backup for his position will be 20yo D/AM LDean Carpenter. This is where you need to buy a player for. Ashley Carew is not good enough for this level of competitive football, at the moment, and may never be. His Technical Attributes are woeful. The only thing he really has going for him, is his Natural Fitness(19), Strength(14) and Jumping(16). The first MC I would pick would be 22yo Gavin Heeroo. He has some good stats, and will work hard for the team. Playing alongside him, I would go with 16yo Youth Contracted Jason Butler, who needs some training for his Technical Attributes. Their backup will be 17yo Youth Contracted M RC Matthew Dean, who is the only midfielder left in your squad.
Best Midfielder: Luke Hickie
strikers
In the strike force you have 4 ST, and 1 AM R/ST. There is no reason to worry about the AM R/ST as he is already utilized in another area of the First Team. Your best ST is actually 18yo Youth Contracted Sol Pinnock. His stats are fantastic for this level of competition, with Finishing(12), First Touch(11) and Composure(10). Beside him I would play 23yo Jeff Goulding. His Finishing(9) isn't the best, but it is better than the rest of the squad. He also has good Composure(10), and Pace(11). Off the bench I would be promoting 17yo Youth Contracted Theo Fairweather-Johnson, who is better stats wise than the rest of your First Squad. You could use another good ST, to allow Theo Fairweather-Johnson time to improve. This will give you a great striker in the coming seasons.
Best Striker: Sol Pinnock
sales
I would look at selling off 2 Strikers in Shaud Batt and Serge Musungu.
buys
You could really use a solid DL, and a good ST. It isn't going to be easy to find good players that want to play for you, but loans may be a good solution. Maybe look into a good DC, and MC as well. This will allow your Youth Contracted players to improve in their own time, without too much pressure on them.
