squad
Overview:
This squad playing in the Ukraine Vyscha Liha, looks unbeatable. This team, has great depth, and their Wage Budget allows heaps of room to buy more players in, if you think it is required.
Expectations:
The media predicts a 2nd place at the end of the season. The expectations of the board and the supporters is to win the Vyscha Liha this year, however within a two year plan at least. This does place some pressure on you as the manager, to live up to these expectations, however they definitely have the team to do it. Due to me not playing in the league before, I don’t know how players will react to going to Ukraine to play.
Goalkeepers:
You start off with two goalkeepers in your squad. Your best goalkeeper is 21yo Bogdan Shust, who has great attributess. The biggest plus for him is his Eccentricity(1). At 21 he still has a lot of good years in him. His other good stats are One on Ones(17), Handling(16) and Reflexes(16). The other goalkeeper in the squad is 22yo Andriy Pyatov. He isn’t too bad for this league, except his Eccentricity(16) is appalling. In the reserve squad you have heaps of GK’s, so if you want a better backup GK, sell off a couple of these.
Best Goalkeeper: Bogdan Shust
Defenders:
You have 12 players that can play as defenders in the squad, with one that can play Sweeper as well, if you like playing one. The best DR you have is 20yo Dmytro Chygrynskyi, who at the age of 20 is the Current Captain. That in itself should tell you how talented this young gun is. His backup will be 24yo Olexandr Kucher, who will also be backup for the DC’s. The leading DL in the squad is 26yo Romanian Razvan Rat, who is great with Free Kicks(17), Long Shots(16) and Corners(16). His backup will be 25yo Croatian International player Darijo Srna, with Crossing(17) and Free Kicks(17). Who is lead and backup really depends on you. Both these guys are fantastic, and just show how much depth is in the backline. The best DC you have is 25yo Czech Tomas Hubschman, who’s Heading(15), Marking(15) and Tackling(17). His Stamina and Pace says that he can keep up with most attackers. Your other DC should be 28yo Pole Mariusz Lewandowski. The backup for these two will be as stated above Olexandr Kucher. You do not need any more defenders, as this backline is one of the best I have seen.
Best Defender: Tomas Hubschman
Midfielders:
In the MR slot, the best player is 21yo Brazilian Ilsinho. His backup will fall to 30yo Romanian Flavius Stoican. Both these players as about as good as one another, but I choose the youngster, due to his improvement ability with training. In the ML position, your best player is 24yo Olexiy Gai. The backup for his position will be 21yo Volodymyr Pryyomov, who has some really good stats, to keep Gai on his toes. The MC slots are a tough choice, as you have too much to choose from. Don’t listen to your Assistant Manager here, as he thinks the midfield is the weak link of the team. The problem with a comment like that, is the fact that when you have the best strikers and best defenders, then even with a great midfield, they are the weak link. The first will be the 22yo Brazilian import Fernandinho, who is a great AM/FC. Beside him in the other MC slot I would have 23yo Brazilian Jadson. Their backup I would have 18yo Brazilian Willian, as he will provide fantastic cover.
Best Midfielder: Fernandinho
Strikers:
In the strike force you have 3 ST, 1 AM L/FC and 2 AM/FC’s. Your best ST is 31yo Italian ST Christiano Lucarelli. At 31yo, and with stats like Finishing(19) and Composure(14) he is going to score 30+ goals with the right tactic. Having other stats such as Long Shot(18) Penalty Taking(18) and Heading(17) just reinforce his all-round package. Beside him I would play the young Mexican 23yo AM L/ST Nery Castillo. His stats aren’t as good as his strike partner, but they are good enough to score goals in any league in the world, including English Premier League. Off the bench I would be running 19yo Olexandr Gladkyi. He is young but already has good stats, that will only get better with good training, and maturing. The other young ST in 20yo Brazilian Luiz Adriano I would hang on to, and train up. He is going to be great in a couple of seasons.
Best Striker: Christiano Lucarelli
Recommended Sales:
In the Defenders and the Midfield, you have heaps of players that are taking up resources. You need to take a good hard look at who you want to keep, and who you want to get rid of. Cut some adrift, and buy some quality youngsters in for the future. Remember what I said about the Midfield and the Assistant Manager. Comparatively, to the rest of the squad, the Midfield is the weak link. It is just that the rest of the team are that great.
Recommended Transfers:
Stronger ML, and maybe MR. But that is being very nit picky. This is a brilliant squad. Maybe a better backup GK that isn’t so Eccentric. Just remember this squad has depth.
