I decided to start a new game trying to get Tranmere Rovers promoted. Not exactly an easy task as Tranmere are a rather mediocre team by League One standards, actually that’s a bit harsh, maybe I should put the League One yo-yo team, one season they’re getting to the top of the table the next they’re lingering in 19th place. Recently they’ve brought attention to some good players like Wales international Jason Koumas (moved to West Brom but now at Wigan) and Canadian Iain Hume (Leicester).

In fact The Rovers were the first team I’d ever seen play live, beating Cheltenham 1:0 with a Stuart Barlow goal at Prenton Park, and I’ve seen them several other times. So because of my personal links with the club I decided to take charge of them hoping that I could eventually get them competing with Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton in the Premiership.
