Hello
Cian Fahey says: (23:29:50)
hello
Danlufan says: (23:30:39)
1) First lets get an overview of the titles you have played, which other SI Games have you played?
Cian Fahey says: (23:31:41)
hmm not sure, I play alot of games, obviously the FM's and the CM's before them, but FML is a completely new experience compared to them!
Danlufan says: (23:32:01)
2) Which aspect of the FM:Live Beta has been the most important to you?
Cian Fahey says: (23:33:22)
The community. There is a wide range of diverse people on here, you make loads of comrades and equally an amount of enemies/rivals and not being the best as I come on here and see the competitiveness its all just great. Also having your own original club is really cool
Danlufan says: (23:33:53)
I can agree with you on the community side of things.
Danlufan says: (23:34:04)
3) SI Games always wanted to have a long Beta test, do you believe this has seen great benefits?
Cian Fahey says: (23:36:09)
ha, The beta has been unreal, there has even been a few soon to be legends coming out of it, as people who cheated at every aspect of the game were hunted down. The most positive thing it produced is all the improvements and ideas that were put on the game from just ordinary people who were lucky enough to get a place, It makes the whole game truly unique.
Danlufan says: (23:36:53)
4)Many features stand out, the skills system, manager interaction, economy, match day experience etc.. which has the most impact on the game and why does it work in a live environment?
Cian Fahey says: (23:39:08)
I would think Manager interaction has the biggest impact as this game doesnt restrict you and the others around you, the economy is also a massively debated subject as there are many strategies which can be undertaken like at the beginning some people want instant success but eventually suffer in the long run.
Danlufan says: (23:40:52)
5)Is long term success achievable, and would this allow new comers to compete?
Cian Fahey says: (23:43:34)
One thing Ive persistently been disgruntled with on here is how the newcomers are at a disadvantage, but as of late there has been an acq fee system put in which has lessened the problem to some extent.Long term success is acheivable but it requires patience as just now in the Beta there are teams who are dominated the rankings and competitions who in the first couple of seasons had struggled to even compete, Ive noticed that people who are more biased to having youth teams eventually prevail in the long term. FML is definately a Marathon not a Sprint
Danlufan says: (23:45:53)
6) Do you believe it is fair that new comers have a greater chance, in turn wouldn't this eliminate reasons for being in game long haul?
Cian Fahey says: (23:47:38)
No I dont think newcomers have a greater chance I think it doesnt really matter when you join the beta as the game is more down to tactics rather than the players you can get, Its a totally different game to FM as you cant just buy success.
Danlufan says: (23:48:23)
7) What else needs to be finished, added or finalised to make the game feel complete?
Cian Fahey says: (23:50:18)
I think the ideas in the pipeline are to add in an international type of situation between the federations, which in my opinion would give another dimension to the game and entice more fierce rivalries, but at the moment SI's focus is to have a perfect Match Engine which has proved problematic but they are on the right track and should have it all sorted eventually.
Danlufan says: (23:51:28)
8) For the people that dont play could you give your explanation of how federations work?
Cian Fahey says: (23:57:53)
The Federations are set up so that players who will be on at the same time are able to be in the same leagues for example there is the Daytime Football Association(DFA) which runs from (08:00-16:00).The Federations include Leagues and cups for both senior and youth teams and clubs can only join one federation, Each federation has its own prize fund and there is prize money paid out depending on where you finish in each comp, and you can win promotion from different divisions ine ach league or do what Im doing this season and be relegated!!! There is also a superfed called UFFA which is FML's equivelant to UEFA and it hosts competitions that host clubs from different federations like the Champions League and UFFA Cup. Federations have their own organizers and these are usually people who have put themselves forward for the job and they organize the leagues and sort out the prize money allocations
Danlufan says: (00:00:10)
9) With the proposed additions would this game be a recommendation to new players, both who have and haven't played previous SI titles?
Cian Fahey says: (00:01:14)
Yes definately, I can honestly say it has taken over my life, even as I write this now Im losing 4-1 in a youth cup game but still loving it.
Danlufan says: (00:03:29)
10) One last question, what would you be prepared to pay each month for this game?
Cian Fahey says: (00:04:19)
I really dont know, does mortgaging the house sound extreme?
Danlufan says: (00:05:05)
thanks for taking the time to answer questions for Manager Crisis.
