Installing brand new data updates and databases is easy all you have to do is extract the file into
'My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football manager 2008/db' and then select the database you want when prompted to upon starting a new game in Football Manager 2008.

It's inposible to exact db! On end of exacting some error appears. Message says that file is coruped

I have downloaded the patch etc and saved it in the file as advised above but I don't get a prompt when I start a new game - any ideas?

Did you extract it?
The prompt should appear when you click "New Game" from the start screen.

Go to the place where you saved it and right click on it and then select open, it should start "unzipping patch" once you have done this. It will do all updating automatically for you. If this does not work, re-download and instead of saving click run and open the file, againit will uzip patch and do everyhting automatically

I don't whats wrong ..but in my fm data update for 28.01.08 It has no changes...just for steau buchares who made a few transfers it doesn't appear...can anyone help ?

when i start the new game
it doesnt ask me to choose database
and i dont no how 2 choose the database

hi i have problem with patch 8.0.1. i install the game then i install the patch 8.0.1. but when i start the new game it doesnt ask me to choose database. a have 2 crack on cd ( hatred crack 32,0 MB) and ( no cd crack 11,7 MB) game work fine with 2 crack but with 8.0 not with 8.0.1 ... wath is the problem i have to use diferen crack for patch 8.0.1... please help

Simple solution really, don't use a crack buy the game, it was £15 at some places, if you can't afford £15 a year then go out and get a job as you clearly need one.

Hi all, I'm new to this forum.
I've installed patch 8.0.2, but my question is are all the previous patches and updates included in patch 8.0.2, or do I have to install all the other updates as well to get everything completedly as it should be?
I assumed patch 8.0.2 is cumulative so all the other updates are rolled into it, but is this right or should I install all the previous updates and patches first? I've never done an update to the game before patch 8.0.2.

Hey Ive downloaded the rich_britain database and when the file downloaded I went to Extract it but it does not appear to be Zipped or compressed or anything, when i click on it it just says windows needs to know what program created it to open it?! It does not prompt me when I start a new game so i must be doing something wrong? Can anyone help?

I have just downloaded Football Manager v8.0.2 and it is in my db in the football manager document and it is zipped. However, when I right-click it to extract it, it wont allow me to extract, it says it is blocking it to help protect computer.? What do I do?
